Pharmacy System is a system that has many different functions in order to maintain the supply and organization of medicines. It helps to increase the generation of revenue of the Hospital. It is used to reduce medication errors, increase patient safety, report drug usage, and track costs.


Provides Point of Sale (POS)

Pharmacy System provides a Point of Sale for medicines to records retail cash and sales of medicines, medical supplies and galenical. It manages and control pilferage of Pharmacy and store inventory. Through Pharmacy POS, you can process transactions easier and faster, providing more convenient patient service. POS also provide the Pharmacy with a real-time detailed report of sales. This allows them to assess what medicines are being sold and what items are lagging in sales.


Provides Stock Monitoring of Medicine’s Inventory with Alert Notification for Medicines near expiry date

Pharmacy System provides inventory for Medicines Medical Supplies and Galenicals. Pharmacy System helps to track Medicines and Medical Supplies by providing an Alert Notification for Items or Medicines near expiry date. The system requires the encoding of Expiry Dates of Medicines and Medical Supplies. An Alert Pop-up window will remind users one month before the expiry date to take action to return and replace the items before the expiry date.


Provides re-order point that triggers an action to the Pharmacist

Re-Order Point (ROP) is a tool that provides information to the Procurement Officer that a Critical Level of an Inventory has been reached that requires replenishment of that particular item or supply. An Alert pop-up is triggered automatically to prod action by the Procurement Officer.

ROP is computed based on the formula for the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). The EOQ (or any other formula that may be used) is computed and loaded into the Supply Ledger of each item or supply.


Pre-Loaded Generic Names and Brand Name of Medicines

Brand Names, Manufacturers, Unit of Measurements Medicine Form, Categories and Distributors are pre loaded data that are repeatable and displayed in dropdowns and checkboxes for fast encoding of records. These Pre-Loaded Generic and Brand Names will help to prevent typographical errors during the encoding of medicines for inventory.
